Snowmobiling in Port-Cartier
Port-Cartier opens onto a wild, quiet backcountry. Between the gulf and the large Port-Cartier–Sept-Îles wildlife reserve, the sector offers federated trails and a country of tundra and forest far from the crowds.
The terrain
The area is loved for its nature and its scenery: frozen rivers, lakes, and the vastness of the wildlife reserve nearby. The trails connect to the regional network; as elsewhere on the coast, ride prepared, fuel and stops thin out as soon as you leave the edge of town.
Conditions and season
A solid North Shore winter season. Check trail status and weather before each ride.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Port-Cartier sector good for beginners?+
The edges are accessible, but the backcountry and the reserve are isolated and call for experience and preparation. Stick to the marked trails if you're new.
